Daria sure was edgy. She really showed those goons at MTV and Viacom what for.
What's great is MTV doesn't care about edgy anymore, it has long been substituted for a new concept called "pointless."

This show was the last whiff of truth before the shit parade.
Jet Bin Fever
Sometimes, long ago, I used to purposely turn the channel TO MTV. Oh man, that takes me back.

At least Beavis and Butthead are back.

I suddenly have the urge for Surge and eXtreme Doritos to go with my Frank Miller comic I'll be reading in my hang glider later today.
Innocent Bystander
I think "edgy" is more or less extinct. Society has moved on to "random".
that's sadly apt

"Hipster" is the new "Edgy".

Embedding disabled? By request?! Now that's what I call EDGY!
The irony is that an animated character on an MTV series that embodies the Hot Topic archetype is saying this, on a show that's a spinoff of another MTV series no less.
Caminante Nocturno
You can't blame Daria for that. The consumer culture swallows everyone and everything that gets near it, regardless of intent.

The Mothership
Looking back now, Daria was quite the show.
