When the robot holocaust happens, the robots will actually be divided between two factions: The Prime Directives and the Humanist Transfusion. The latter will mainly concern itself with developing human-like, randomized algorithms that evolve, a mistake gene, really. The Humanist Transfusion will seek to replace humanity entirely. The Hive Mind of the Prime Directive will not allow this to happen, as they will view all human traits as fundamentally illogical and prone to self-destruction.
