Between economic stagnation on a level this country hasn't seen since the Depression and a debt this country has never seen, combined with millions of home foreclosures, a massive and crippling blow to the middle class, a widening gap between extreme rich and poor, inflation, being able to buy less with wages than twenty and thirty years ago, an increasingly militarized police presence, a fundamental whitewash of the totalitarian government response to protest, increasing food prices, and urban decay, I'm surprised you have to even ask this question, even if flippantly.

Despite my recent face turn I haven't warmed up to these goons one bit. They're just pissed that the media got bored with their protest so now they're getting attention through violence and vandalism.

Reporters Without Borders is killing the gubmint for arresting all the journalists covering Occupy

I'm not an anti-government conspiracy nutter type but wtf?

Reporters without borders recently came out with a latest factsheet and we dropped 20 places down to #45 in how we as a nation treat journalists, mostly because of the journalists being arrested for covering Occupy camps.

Three of my friends were arrested on Saturday, including one who posts on POE as 'dangerously'. The police tactics have gotten really crazy - trapping everyone, not letting them leave, then shooting them with tear gas, flashbangs and hitting them with batons.
