Tippy tappy fascist march!

Cena_mark - 2012-02-04

I'd like to have seen the cops do a soft shoe on some neo-hippy skulls.

memedumpster - 2012-02-04

:D

No one hates Americans like an American!

TheQuakeSoldier - 2012-02-04

"We are the 99%". Not unless you're Cuban, hippie.

Burnov - 2012-02-04

Stars for the description alone.

Burnov - 2012-02-04

I'm rofling so hard at all the OWS'ers citing constitutional platitudes at their convenience.

Also, I love how they zeroed in on the black guy.

Oscar Wildcat - 2012-02-04

Yeah. PFFTTTT. Who takes that Consitution shit seriously anymore. Not worth wiping my ass with the document, amirite R's? Back me up here.

Jeriko-1 - 2012-02-04

Ugh, this place is turning into Liveleak. I hope you're happy, support.

fatatty - 2012-02-04

Keep it cynical guys. It's the most fun way to ignore reality.

Cena_mark - 2012-02-04

What reality? The reality that we suffering from a slight recession and a bunch of entitled liberal arts majors are making it out to be 1929.

SolRo - 2012-02-04

How's your free market job on the SS Buttpound?

Cena_mark - 2012-02-04

I don't have a free market job I work for DOH. I thought you knew that. Either way I'm glad to see other people here are getting sick of the occupy movement. I'll put that in the I told you so list next to Obama.

Bort - 2012-02-04

It's more than a slight recession; it's been an ongoing process by which opportunities have been drying up for very willing and able workers. The wealthiest Americans are doing better than ever (as they tend to), while normal Joes' wages and benefits have been dropping for decades to the point where people can't get by.

We've reached a point where a lot of people think it's fine that a person can't get by on a minimum wage. Think about that for a second. While I agree that a minimum wage probably can't be lavish, it certainly should be enough to pay for rent, utilities, groceries, and transportation. Those are the minimums just to function in our society, and if the minimum wage can't cover that, we've got problems.

The OWS protesters may not have answers to all our problems, but they don't have to; they are at least raising important questions about where we are and where we should be going.

Cena_mark - 2012-02-04

They raised important questions months ago. Now they're nuisance and the news media no longer cares about them.

SolRo - 2012-02-04

We stopped caring about you months ago, why are you still here?

RocketBlender - 2012-02-04

Fuck that noise, I'm glad he's here. After everything that's been going on the last week, I'm glad to see every member of our community sticking about.

I still haven't figured out if you're trolling or genuine, Cena, but politial threads wouldn't be what they are without your.... input.

memedumpster - 2012-02-04

If Cena is genuine, he's the most chill moderate right wing lunatic on the Internet. A real Reich-winger would be on here daily screaming for our deaths.

Cena_mark - 2012-02-04

Solro doesn't mean it. He's just emotionally involved with the occupy thing and doesn't want to see it mocked.
Rocket, Meme: I used this analogy before. The best gimmicks in prowrestling take the wrestler's actual personality, but with the volume turned up a little. So yes, what I express here are my IRL beliefs. I'm just a little more obnoxious online than I am IRL.

StanleyPain - 2012-02-04

STUPID HIPSTERS WITH THEIR IPADS AND IPHONES AND CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO PROTEST

Cena_mark - 2012-02-04

Being that douchey shouldn't be protected by the Constitution. Throw the lot of them in prison and throw away the key.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-02-04

Before all of you start one starring my submission, I would like to point out that I participated for a week with the Occupy movement.

I have the right to make fun of these people. But I don't have to, they're doing a great job for me.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-02-04

Also I support their right to protest, so if you're one starring me because HOW DARE YOU MAKE FUN OF OWS YOU'RE SCUM AND MIGHT AS WELL BE WITH THE 1%

Then seriously, fuck you and lighten up.

SolRo - 2012-02-04

Yeah, lighten up guys, im like the dudes from southpark! I just make fun of everyone and think everyone is stupid except me!

People are just getting tired of dumbasses like you making fun of any political pushback against the 1%, because idiots like you are helping perpetuate false stereotypes of the protests and protestors.

Cena_mark - 2012-02-04

We are the 99%. I don't want to associate with the bottom 1%.

EvilHomer - 2012-02-04

OK, Cena, that one deserves some stars.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-02-04

I am so left wing I am often called a radical.

This is a horrible thing, but shit, dude, how can I not laugh at Flower Power Hour?

SixDigitDebt - 2012-02-04

Extreme change requires extreme action. Being a sit-in eyesore doesn't qualify.

Jericho - 2012-02-04

all i took from this video is that riot gear looks rad

klingerbgoode - 2012-02-05

When the four officers picked up the tent and ran away with it, I imagined some guy inside going 'WHHHHOOOOOOOOOAAAAHHHHHH!'

That is what I took away from it, and that is worth five whole stars.

Fezren - 2012-02-04

I've seen a lot of clips from the OWS movement that really made me feel good about their cause and what they're trying to do. Important people making speeches and saying important things, and peaceful protesters raising awareness about things that really need to be addressed.

And then there are the clips like this one. At this point, these types of clips probably outnumber the clips that shed any sort of positive light on the OWS protests. If you think that any constitutional rights are being denied in this clip than you might just be fucking retarded.

Sure, as citizens of the US we have a constitutional right to protest. There are limitations to this right however. You must get a permit. You aren't allowed to protest anywhere you like at any time you like. Once you get a permit, you have a timeline you must follow. You aren't allowed to set up shop somewhere indefinitely. Most importantly, your protest is not allowed to infringe upon the rights or safety and well-being of other citizens.

You can go ahead and try to argue against these limitations but you're just going to make yourself look like a fucking retard. These limitations and police procedures are there to protect everybody's rights and safety.

I'm sure the young people in this clip thought they were being super cool and edgy, but I believe they are having a negative impact on the OWS movement. OWS in the US, despite chants of "we are the 99%" are actually a tiny minority I would estimate at less than 1% of the population. The real majority of the US doesn't care about being super cool and egdy. The real majority of the US don't believe in conspiracy theories about how wall street is controlling the police. The real majority of the US are in favor of police and police procedure because the real majority of the US understands their constitutional rights and the need for police procedure much better than the protesters in this clip.

memedumpster - 2012-02-04

You are dead wrong about the majority of people in the US.

Fezren - 2012-02-04

I don't think I am, I think your judgement is clouded by a stereo-typical view of US citizens.

Gmork - 2012-02-05

I'm with memedumpster. The moment credibility plummeted happened around when you said "The real majority of the US are in favor of police and police procedure".

You're half-right - the are only in favor of it when it applies positively to their situation.

Aress - 2012-02-04

5 stars for putting an end to property violating Occupiers.

misterbuns - 2012-02-05
