I somehow went the last twenty-odd years without having seen MST3K/Rifftrax but thanks to poe I'm now an addict. Thank god there are hundreds of hours of it to devour.

chumbucket - 2012-02-15

Good for you. I truly feel this is the ONLY way to watch this and many MANY other films.

Moustache McGillicuddy - 2012-02-15

which one is your favorite?

Innocent Bystander - 2012-02-15

It's OK, it used to be great.

Cena_mark - 2012-02-15

Its annoying when folks go out of their way to hate Twilight. Yes the books and films are lame, but whatever. Groaning when you see a Twilight commercial on TV won't make you more of a man.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-02-15

You don't have to go out of your way to hate Twilight. The crappy writing, bad relationship role models, and fan base that seems to not understand that they're consuming something that's incredibly mediocre compared to other works in the same (pardon the expression) vein make it almost a reflexive response to dislike it.

Quad9Damage - 2012-02-15

Twilight seems to bring out a level of defensiveness bordering on murderous rage from a lot of its fans. It's really sad to watch so many apologists defend this piece of shit franchise to the point where they might just drive a knife through your skull if you call Jacob a pedophile around them. Unfortunately, my sister is one of those kinds of fans, and she's a grown-ass woman for fuck's sake.

snothouse - 2012-02-15

When did they lose the ability to deliver a joke?
Some of the riffs are good, but they sound like the guy at the party who's trying REALLY hard and loud to be funny.

Millard - 2012-02-15

I don't hate these, but it's definitely hard not to feel like they lost something since the MST3K days. Their live shows, on the other hand, are pretty uproarious, especially when they do the shorts.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-02-15

As someone who's been messing around with voiceovers for existing footage, speaking LOUDLY and CLEARLY is almost a must, since the background noise (the movie) is of variable volume, and re-recording is a PITA.

I don't hear much difference between this and their MST3K days when you listen to the 'Trax as a whole, instead of clips like this. This one has none of the banter-ish stuff that sounds more like conversation.

fatatty - 2012-02-15

They've still got it. Except that annoying robot who just quotes lines from the movie he remembers. Fuck that stupid robot.

Raggamuffin - 2012-02-16

It's different, because they aren't really playing characters anymore. It's still great though.

memedumpster - 2012-02-15

"Work your dark magic, booze."

Toenails - 2012-02-15

"We've always had magic in our blood."

"Some call it whiskey, but we call it magic!"

Quad9Damage - 2012-02-15

I admit that Rifftrax doesn't have the same magic MST3k did, but all the same, it is impossible for me to endure a 'Twilight' movie without a Rifftrax commentary playing over it.

I like to download torrents of the 'Twilight' movies with the commentaries embedded in them and then compensate Rifftrax with Paypal donations. That way I get the commentary and the movie without having to have the DVD or do the mixing, Rifftrax still gets paid, and I can say "fuck you, you rich crazy Mormon fucknut."

fatatty - 2012-02-15

You say that as if there's some reason you have to ever watch a Twilight movie.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-02-15

I think it's mandatory if you're being interrogated by the NSA, no matter what the Geneva Convention says.

Spit Spingola - 2012-02-15

Haven't tried a Rifftrax since Star Trek. Actually kind of want to check this out now. Love those giant CGI dogs.

Pope Caius - 2012-02-16

Saw this Rifftrax a while ago with a few friends. Even the commentary can't make this movie watchable; it's just that tedious.
