Since they can't actually show death in cartoons, the Kool-Aid man must have died off-camera, right?

Cena_mark - 2012-02-29

Captain Planet would show some awesome gore here and there. I think they got away with it, because it was Ted Turner's project.

Xenocide - 2012-02-29

It was okay to show death as long as it was for "educational" purposes. In this case, we learned the horrible dangers of having a large window by your couch.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-03-01

I guess if you own the network you can do what you want.

Ted Turner used blood & violence in a cartoon about environmentalism. Rupert Murdoch lies, taps phones, promotes conservative values, and uses boobs to sell papers via Newscorp. It's about the same, I suppose.

That street is huge. Either that, or that family's house was in the middle of a big parking lot.

Quad9Damage - 2012-02-29

An average family, innocent victims in a turf war between Wal-Mart and Target.

Cena_mark - 2012-02-29

Goddamn Target shopping snobs.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2012-02-29

Gang stalker wars.

Kabbage - 2012-02-29

Yours, MacGyver.

Jericho - 2012-02-29

my god, they've developed lasers that shoot through all windows but car windows. evil wins i give up

Cena_mark - 2012-02-29

Is this from the episode where one of the villains invents a device that turns innocent people into gang members?

Cena_mark - 2012-02-29

Yeah it is. Its from an episode called Utopia where Verminous Scum and Dr. Blight shoot a cocooning goop over most of the planeteres and they emerge from it wearing spandex, spikes, and neon hair.

EvilHomer - 2012-02-29

So, Brony and an eco-terrorist, huh?

Quad9Damage - 2012-02-29

Does Captain Planet fly over them and clean the 'gang' out of them with sparkly magic? Or does Mai-Ti get confused when he finds out his goddamn Heart ring can change clothes?

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-02-29

If I remember correctly (and I do), it was all a dream Kwame was having because he watched a movie. The twist is that he turns on the TV and there's a news report about gang violence on.

Cena_mark - 2012-03-01

That's the one Caminante. Homer, I'm a cartoon lover, and I've loved cartoon planet since it first came out. The power is mine.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-03-02

I am now picturing a sparkly pony wearing a Coast Guard uniform wielding a ring of heart and fighting global warming.

I love you Cena, and your sparkle power.

memedumpster - 2012-02-29

Tea Party drive by.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-02-29

But you gotta admit, this is way ballsier than GI Joe, which would have them shooting blue and red colored lasers and the family safely parachuting out of the exploding room.

themilkshark - 2012-02-29

Man, Captain Planet was disturbing, poorly animated and annoying. Why'd I watch it so much?

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-03-01

A power fantasy of being able to hurl fire and bang a hot Russian chick?

Quad9Damage - 2012-03-01

Captain Planet - where the hottest main character was the commie.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-03-03

I tried to find the episode where Wheeler has the really disturbing dream that he has 8 kids in the future and everything is awful. Pollution is rampant and everyone has too many kids and he and Linka can't feed them enough. Also they look like crap in the future. The episode was called The Numbers Game. This show was a never ending tramafest.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-03-03

There was also an episode where Linka becomes a drug addict and her cousin dies of an overdose right next to her on top of the Capitol Dome.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-03-04

This show was pure, unending nightmare fuel. Trauma galore!
