Tim Burton is going to fail at his own remake. He is literally not up to the task of honoring the work of his 1984 self.

Merzbau - 2012-03-02

At least he can't ruin "Vincent."

...oh god i hope he didn't hear me

StanleyPain - 2012-03-03

He'll just remake it and cast Johnny Depp as Vincent Price.

joelkazoo - 2012-03-03

STOP GIVING HIM IDEAS!!!

Hailey2006 - 2012-04-08

I just know he's gonna remake Pee Wee, next!

Rosebeekee - 2012-03-03

Woah, woah, wait a minute. Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter AREN'T in this movie but Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, and Martin Landau are? Damn, I may have to give this movie a try.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-03-03

It looked so much better the first time around. The CGI here already looks horrible, and it hasn't even been released yet. I cringe to think how it'll look in 30 years.
But hey, everyone gets fat and old and marries Helena Bonham Carter eventually.

B. Weed - 2012-03-03

What parts are CGI besides the lightning? (I saw the puppets for this movie on display at the LA Museum of Contemporary Art, and the accompanying signage noted the movie would be stop-motion.)

I'm more worried about the script-- Burton's never been too good at picking scripts, and what might have worked well at 29 minutes (I haven't had the pleasure of seeing the original) could very well be a slack, padded mess at feature length.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-03-03

If they're puppets, they've slapped so many filters over them when computer editing everything together that they've lost all semblance of being something physically real.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2012-03-03

Wow, I never knew he was married to Helena Bonham Carter.

B. Weed - 2012-03-03

Ah, I chalked up the smoothness to this being a small-sized video clip. If I saw it in a theatre I might have a different opinion.

cognitivedissonance - 2012-03-03

If anything is proven by Tim Burton's films, they are a cry for help, begging us to acknowledge that he was molested during a Hammer Horror festival.

Redford - 2012-03-03

I'm with the angry mob. Putting 75 million Photoshop filters over your puppets no longer makes them look like puppets.

themilkshark - 2012-03-03

I know it's in fashion to hate on Tim Burton, but I dress like it's the 90's so I'll buck the trend. This movie looks awesome, I will pay to see it in a theater. sometimes you just have to relax and accept that there is an animated movie about a boy and his zombie dog coming out. Does anyone actually enjoy anything anymore?

BHWW - 2012-03-03

It's not fashionable to hate Tim Burton - it's just the right thing to do. As a director, he's a second-rate production designer.

Sudan no1 - 2012-03-03

Tim Burton used to at least give us some original movie ideas, but now he can't even do that anymore. Most people hate seeing mediocrity and laziness rewarded with enormous budgets, but I understand that's 90% of hollywood's output anyway.

At least he's keeping it in black and white. Have a mediocre score.

Macho Nacho - 2012-03-05

Tim Burton has been suffering from George Lucas Syndrome hasn't he?
