Wow, my parents were 70s enough to have the sountrack album for this, but I guess I never really grasped what it was about. I thought this was some kind of new-agey Disney cartoon, not 2 hours of nature documentary footage with voiceovers!

In catholic grade school a school sister sat us down and read the book. Which was weird because it's half-Buddhist "power of positive" thinking woo-woo.

When I was a kid my mother told me to read Jonathan Livingston Seagull. I don't think this story makes much sense to 9 year olds, even during the 1970s.

I got through part one and kept thinking, "This is the story of Ulillilia Asperger Seagull. Can he fly faster than 62 mph? And look at that parallax!"

I remember those painted glass mirrors they used to have in the 70s and early 80s, and it was of the poster to this movie.
