This isn't even the real "Best gamers" treatment. Normally they just make a bunch of fart jokes and say "This game sucks lol". They actually tried to put some effort into this one, similar to their Minecraft review.

Super Meat Boy got shit on pretty hard, though.

Triggerbaby - 2012-04-26

As an aside, I'm really enjoying Fez. What a lovely little game.

deadpan - 2012-04-26

I'm glad there's still disaffected Counterstrike players around to push back against the cloying, twee bullshit infesting the indie scene. I loved Super Meat Boy and Bastion, but holy hell are there some shallow hacks out there trading on nostalgia to push broken shit that wouldn't even have cut it on newgrounds years ago.

Fez looks cool though. Probably get it when it comes out on Steam.

Spit Spingola - 2012-04-26

He's right about the music, honestly. Played the demo and the game definitely looks more fun in these clips where he's putting Toe Jam and Earl music in the background.

MrGrinn13 - 2012-04-26

I immediately loaded up some TJ&E after watching this video, because of the music!

Kabbage - 2012-04-26

Good christ this guy is a waste of air.

gambol - 2012-04-26

Is this guy right? He seems to know what he's talking about.

Riskbreaker - 2012-04-26

He is, this game is another puzzle-plataforming "retro" looking indie hipster waste of time and space.

NewHeavenSalesman - 2012-04-26

I think the only "retro" indie game I've played that felt genuinely retro rather than some cloying pretend bullshit was Noitu Love 2, though it less a retro classic and more a fun game you'd find hidden in a MAME folder you downloaded a year ago.

poorwill - 2012-04-26

Noitu Love 2 is awesome and is better than most similar games, 'indie' or not.

spikestoyiu - 2012-04-26

This Phil Fish guy appears to be about as punchable as they come.

Riskbreaker - 2012-04-26

Oh boy he is, and the entire hype surronding Fez is equally embarrasing. The game was winning "awards" before even being out. Sorry, mr reject from Weezer, i'd rather play Yakuza 4, a pretty good and fun japanese game, than this boring thing you made in-between going to indie concerts in your local town.

Spaceman Africa - 2012-04-27

Phil Fish is like the Kanye West of the game industry.

spikestoyiu - 2012-04-27

Kanye West, for all of his awfulness, is capable of making some pretty great music. This guy and this game look boring.

Joey The Cobra - 2012-04-26

Good review, music made me want to play Deadly Premonition

Koda Maja - 2012-04-26

It's almost cute how hard he's trying to be Plinkett.

Sudan no1 - 2012-04-27

I think he's going for stoned, not stroke'd.

YakooMarkTwo - 2012-04-27

All his negative review did was make me want to play the game and stop listening to him read his clever jokes into a microphone.

Sudan no1 - 2012-04-27

yes, play the game so you can see clever meme jokes in pixel art, much better.

Riskbreaker - 2012-04-28

The only winning move is not to play.
