I don't think they're giving much away, really. But regardless, still looks like a cool film. I'm actually glad for this new trailer as it confirms for sure that the movie is moving down the road of sci-fi horror in the vein of the original Alien.
But I think there's tons of story still to be revealed. The trailers are really only giving away that "shit goes down." But not the money shot stuff yet (like how this all ties into Alien and who the hell the space jockey peeps are. Creators? The Created? Something else?)

While it'll probably be good (at least far, far better than the AVP movies), you already know a lot going in. You know that if these schmoes went with the space jockey ship to LV-427, they're either dead or "somewhere else," since nobody in Aliens ran across any of these characters.

It's a bit like the Star Wars prequels, in that we already know where they have to end up (the beginning of Episode IV). The only real questions involve details.

...yeah. I mean, I am annoyed by the same shit, but I am also holding out hope. Ridley Scott has done some super creative stuff, so I'm hoping he is baiting us into something cool. Then again, the super creative stuff I keep referencing in my brain was his early work (The Duelists, Alien, Bladerunner and Legend specifically).

I guess I'll have to be a sucker and wait n' see.

I'm sure the Space Jockies are the evolved descendants of the Prometheus crew who, during their quest to study a signal in the background radiation of the Universe, accidentally used a Stargate during a solar flair, sending them back 2000 years, where they were forced to settle on a planet and slowly populate nearby worlds until they succumbed to a drone army that was created by the creators of the aforementioned signal, who just happen to be an alternate reality Prometheus crew who were accidentally sent to the beginning of time, meaning the signal was their SOS all along, and the drone army is simply an evolution of the obligatory android crew member, who, somewhere along the way, found himself on a red planet with super gravity and a giant tuning fork monument that sent him to the 1860s, where he traded places with Jeddidiah Morningside.
