These are all so awesome.

Story by Dr. Suess, directed by some of the great Golden Age directors. My personal favorites are the "Spies" and the equipment upkeep.

so, so awesome..thanks!

Old_Zircon - 2012-05-07

The Italian spy in Spies alone is worth these stars.

Was the greatest generation retarded or something?

It's like they're trying to convince infantrymen that they got the plum assignment using the same tactics infomercials use to make everyday tasks look difficult.

Tank Pilot: This road is sooo bumpy! If only I could walk!

Pilot: It's so hard to fly a plane that I forgot how in the middle of a flight!

Commanding Officer: What do I do? Tell my men to train or slack off? Which one is it? I'm totally screwed and we're all gonna die!

Superman: All my powers are worthless without someone to tell me where to go and what to do! If only I could be at the very bottom of a command structure...

All: There's got to be a better way!

They're both aiming for the lowest common denominator. A reasonably intelligent person will be able to master basic tasks after instruction and demonstration. The people who are unable to fill a salt shaker or clean a rifle without breaking it or injuring themselves, those are the ones that infomercials/supplemental training is aimed at.
