I've never played this or TF2. If I were to pick one, I would have to go with this. The absolute shamelessness is amazing.

Your loss

Hooker - 2012-06-26

HA! I knew a loyalist would respond.

Killer Joe - 2012-06-26

It's pretty fantastic. I was thinking how they might _not_ rip off the metallic team color for the ubercharge, maybe some kind of energy Chinese armor or something.
Not a chance.
I love you, Final Combat. Never change. Or innovate.

Ma me mi mu me mo, ma me mi mu me mo, ma me mi mu medical beam!

Redford - 2012-06-26

So, there's some gameplay in a related video.

1. Healing isn't a beam. it's indistinct and very hard to follow where it's going.

2 The auto-regen is gone, so the only way to heal is with health packs. What a pain.

3. The syringe gun has been replaced with a crossbow, which seems to act similar to the one in TF2. It doesn't heal on ally hit and it deals massive damage (170!) on a headshot, letting you one or two hit pretty much any other class.

4. Overhealing doesn't appear to happen. That, or the interface sucks.

5. Ubercharge is gained on heal, as before. However, it seems totally removed from the amount actually healed and is instead 3% every second no matter how much healing you do. You can hold your healgun on a max health target and still get the same amount of ubercharges.

My previous comment about blindly miming the elements of TF2 without actually understanding what makes TF2 a well produced game still stands, I think.

Redford - 2012-06-26

Also, I'm going to bet 100% that the system where the amount you heal is proportional to the amount of time it's been since your target has been healed was also removed.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-06-26

Blah-blah-blah. Try talking about what's really important, instead:

Are there... hats?

Wander - 2012-06-26

Actually, in the gameplay video one of the medics has wings, so I think they DO have hats now.

Redford - 2012-06-27

Hats since release, actually. Something that TF2 decidedly did not have.

misterbuns - 2012-06-26

Despite the thorough plagiarism, the chinese have managed do drain all of the character from the design and animation. It now looks like everything else in this horrible world.

deadpan - 2012-06-26

I am genuinely surprised that Valve is getting Meet the Pyro out before this shitheap is even released.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-06-26

How the hell do these people sleep at night?

SolRo - 2012-06-27

On piles of chinese currency?
