This show isn't funny

Yeah something about this show just doesn't work. Wizard People is one of my favorite pieces of comedy ever. All the Babycakes cartoons and Professor Brothers, etc. are all golden. It just doesn't translate well into a sitcom structure.

I disagree with the previous two posters and hold the opinion that this show (or the little I've seen of it) is standard Brad Neely goodness. Giving everybody full eyes instead of dots seems weird though.

I like this show and I think it accomplishes the goal of keeping the spirit of Neely's work while bringing it to a wider audience.

The animation might separate it from Neely's solo stuff; but ultimately you still have his voices, writing, and character design. I personally enjoy the animation style.

I'd read about people complaining about the eye dots, but when I finally saw them for myself, I thought there was something familiar about them. Then it hit me. They're

The original Brad Neely clips were condensed gems of wit and wordplay, rambling jokes with funny pictures bordering on poetic.

This show is entirely different, watered down, plot driven, full of filler dialogue to support the plot, and lacking any poetry and most of the humor of the original. Imagine if they decided to make a sitcom out of the Jack Handey SNL quotes. It's the same thing.

I'm not saying the show is awful, but it's a pale comparison to the original. I like the original flash animations, but I won't be watching this.

The shit-talking up there put me off watching this altogether. But I recently did anyway and it's fucking awesome. Fuck those animals.
