They'd pimp their own grandmothers for a tank of the stuff. Trying to reason with them on this point is like butting your head against a brick wall.
I think it's largely being understood now that the only solution to this problem is though a disruptive technology. The real question is not whether such a technology exists. It does. It's whether all of you will accept it. If history is any guide, this is far from a sure thing.

I used to think libertarians were cool, and then I thought they were at least consistent, but I'm tired of one arrogant asshole after another bragging about how their philosopy is based on "reason" and "facts", while being about as intellectually rigorous as a bowl of clam chowder. You rosy scenarios about how everything will work out if we just do nothing ARE NOT FACTS. They are speculation, no matter how much thought you've put into them. Only things that have actually happened count as "facts".
