Absolutely true, and well documented. They did it by touting the economic benefits of a professional sports team on the local area, promises that were incredibly overblown and exaggerated.
That's just one industry.
I'm starting to think super unstable third world hellholes have a better shot at a future than we do, since they lack a criminal infrastructure that can survive the criminals. Hope and change is easier in North Korea, I think.
According to Chris Hayes, it is now easier for a poor person to become wealthy in any European economy than it is in America. The American Dream is over.
But no Real American will believe this ever.
