There's no first amendment saying that.... well maybe there is, but...

That's your grandpa moment right here.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-08-22

No, Pat's understanding of the first amendment is pretty solid here, better than a lot of people. I'll give that to him. And he's not saying that Atheist Billboards should be outlawed. The government can't tell the billboard companies what to post, but the billboard companies don't have to post anything they don't want to post.

Still, you have to smile when conservatives get indignant about the profit motive, e.g. billboard companies "out to make a buck".

This asshole does faith healing. Even if you are a Christian, you have to realize that's bullshit. Why is he doing it on a stage and not in a hospital? He is the worst kind of ripoff artist.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-08-21

Don't you just find it hard to breathe, Pat? Isn't it a lot of labor drawing oxygen into your lungs? You don't have to keep doing it.

Go on, take a break. You've earned it.

A beautiful place awaits you in the heavenly kingdom, Pat. A place free of any atheists or loose, unmarried women with multi-ethnic broods of adopted children.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-08-21

If it weren't for the car wrecks it would cause, billboards of (at least moderately good-looking) people having sex would be a nice change of pace. Heck, where's the augmented reality windshields that can project pr0n onto passing billboards based on personal preference and browsing history?

Google is taking baby steps. Glasses first. Glass of THE WORLD next...

Corpus Delectable - 2012-08-22

He is fast becoming my favorite person.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2012-08-22

Poor Pat. With those nasty atheists smearing their godless message on Billboards, what chance does a man of God with a 24 hour cable network have?

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-08-22

He's just a holdover from when ABC (or whichever network) purchased The Family Channel. All the programming became secular (that is, stuff advertisers would actually pay money to put commercials with) but they had to keep the 700 Club.

I think everyone involved regrets the decision.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-08-23

This guy isn't conservative. Like so many others in that party, he's clearly a theocrat.
