millerman13 - 2012-09-18

love your submitted videos

StanleyPain - 2012-09-18

If you can cite a political event of Obama's in which protesters were treated the way anti-Republican protesters are treated (like in this video), I'd be glad to hear about it.

TeenerTot - 2012-09-18

Obama is governor of Wisconsin.

ez - 2012-09-18

Wait, Obama is not the governor of Wisconsin?

Just pointing out that anything and everything that happened under Bush was a GIANT FASCIST PLOT that was going to imprison us all; but President Obama is looking out for you, right? That's why he needed to pass something like the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2012, with the hoping and the changing....

glasseye - 2012-09-18

ez: Scott Walker, governor of Wisconsin, is a Republican.

Five stars for right wing evil.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-09-18

Ez, under Obama, nobody to my knowledge has been arrested or detained because they were wearing a t-shirt, screened from attending a public event because of a bumper sticker, or tossed off a plane for wearing something with an anti-Obama slogan.

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2012-09-18

yawn

Bort - 2012-09-18

ez: of COURSE he needed to pass the 2012 NDAA -- the NDAA is what funds the military. There's an NDAA every year, and until 2011 every other NDAA was a dull matter of appropriations. The 2012 NDAA was different; blame douchey Republicans for adding the "indefinite detainment" section to an otherwise vital and unobjectionable bill, in their neverending quest to fuck up whatever they can get their hands on.

Now, as for efforts to overturn the "indefinite detainment" part, the Obama administration has fought some of those efforts, and yeah, Obama deserves all the scorn you like for that. But passing the NDAA itself in the first place was the responsible move; the alternative would have resulted in chaos in the military, and no good comes of that.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-09-18

Well, well, well.

Another badly trained dog wandered into our site.

Who's little doggy are you, ez?

ez - 2012-09-19

No need to get yourself all worked up board patrol, I'm just a longtime lurker and occasional commentor.

My apologies for saying anything other than "Democrats = Good. Republicans = BAD."

Carry on then.

Displays and decorations. No displays, signs, banners, placards, decorations or graphic or artistic material may be erected, attached, mounted or displayed within or on the building or the grounds of any state office building or facility without the express written authority of the department.

looks like nobody took the time to think about what the word 'displayed' means in this context

chumbucket - 2012-09-18

Maybe they need to put up a sign about the rule pertaining to displaying signs.

cognitivedissonance - 2012-09-18

There's no coincidence that both Joseph McCarthy and Paul Ryan come from the same state. Shit is generational.

betabox - 2012-09-18

We also produced Robert M. LaFollette and the Progressive party. We were also the first state to include sexual preference in non-discrimination laws.

Just because some batshit insane republicans have gotten in control from time to time is no reason to assume it's considered business as usual here.

Anaxagoras - 2012-09-18

Wisconsin produces the most reasonable & pleasant protestors in the world.

badideasinaction - 2012-09-18

It's pretty easy to protest reasonably when the opposition is so unreasonable.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-09-18

Even if there was a ton of physical violence, it'd be staggeringly small when one takes into account how much beer the state consumes.
