Unless you were asking about Bo. When support destroyed POE News, a bunch of people created that site, and it's basically three people psychologically abusing about three other people who have admitted mental disorders, and everyone else cheering on the abusers.

It's essentially turned into the ultimate PoE exhibit. I love it.

The fact that you immediately assume that this was the work of Bo says a lot more about you than it does them.

Yeah, there are a few disgruntled poeTV users, but people from Bo have been responsible for the last six or seven, so I'm hedging my bet.

I knew bo was disgruntled news refugees but I've never been clear on why they were disgruntled.

It's because they have emotional problems.

Bo-news's core is seemingly made up of the same incredibly damaged long time POE regulars, some of whom were obsessing over forum and chat grudges from years before, including members of the "post thousands of inane one-liners (n/t) all in lowercase" crew.

I am honestly surprised Bo is still sort of a thing.

It was a classy, intelligent time for those 8 people.

I remember a while back when there were a lot of people on the site, and people complained that the site sucks because it got too popular and things were better when it was a smaller community.

I also remember that later when the site's membership dwindled people complained the site sucks because it's a ghost town and things were better when people actually used the site.

The good era was when someone would say something stupid and Cap'n Profanity would either draw a comic about it or drive to their house and rape their dog to death.

I forget which.

i've been a lurker on the site for many a year. i think poetv is susceptible to crappy memes and crossover from sites like reddit, but overall the content remains interesting and varied.

LJ: I think it is safe to say that I am one of the original 8 (I still think 5 of those were just one person)...and I was just a refugee lurker from OMM/Seanbaby/Fatbabies/Fat-Chicks-with-Party-Hats. News was just a place to find cool news items (didn't bother with the comments) and Red was a great collection of the Internet being fucked.

POETV started off as just a place to link videos off of YT. Not necessarily evil. Not necessarily funny. Not necessarily anything at all. Comments section was like a mini-snark/clever line contest, peppered with interesting fun facts, with the video being the topic at hand. The "good era" of POETV was...hell...IS...when everyone is in synch with that. 73Q was just a great spin-off for people who could utilize YT as a source for music.

Is Chet even around anymore? Did this stop being one of his things?

I've been here since the beginning and I like when new people come here and say new things.

I too have been around since around the beginning of PoETV, and lurked on news occasionally. We still have great moments of synchronicity, which IS totally the best parts. BUT, we no longer have Roachbud and no one could ever take his place.

It was pretty entertaining.

I managed to convince them that I am leaning conservative now after I trolled them, and they exploded after I said that life in Asia was different for gay people than in America, which they said was racist. They then insisted I was a Neo Nazi for saying I felt no sexual attraction towards Asian people. Then they banned me.

This wasn't farcical. This happened. I mean, I thought it was all some elaborate lie but unfortunately I emailed Xiphias and he truly believes that if you aren't sexually attracted to an ethnic group, it means you are racist. It is nothing less than amazing.

Also, they are claiming they sabotaged poe news and they did it as part of a far reaching MASTER PLAN they concocted to get rid of the site, only to replace it with one where they could harass people as much as they wanted.

I knew of the various cross-site dramas, but not in detail and had no real impression of it.
I just checked out Bo for a bit. It is a real think tank over there.
