Fascinating. I used to stutter terribly, and I still do sometimes on the phone or asking questions in class. It's a strange and terrible thing to live with, and I feel for anyone with a worse case than me.
if you think asking questions in class is difficult, try giving a lecture. no fun, let me tell you. mine probably ain't that bad, but enough to ruin your day when you have to pause a couple times when making a point.
When this happens on a bad cellular connection and I can hear my own voice with a slight delay, it renders me virtually incapable of speaking for some reason.
