Looks pretty cool. I don't know enough to figure out whether it's a scam or what. Not sure how exactly it would be.

This is a complete scam for a plain old rendering engine (which might be a pretty good one, but not state of the art) . I've only scanned the video, but it is filled with odd and contrived analogies. I can only imagine that their front man seem to be selling an engine with better support for spliney/ and/or analytically smooth representations of geometry...perhaps better integrated with 3d scanning?

Nothing that they demo is something that isn't done incredibly well by current technology, it isn't obvious that they are doing it more efficiently or better.

I imagine that 3d models for big productions are routinely an order of magnitude larger than their demo.

Their "LOD" (level of *detail* not "distance" as the frontman repeatedly says in the video).

I sponsor seven half orphanages in Kenya.

Meant to say:
Their "LOD" (level of *detail* not "distance" as the frontman repeatedly says in the video) suggests that he has no idea what he is talking about. I generally don't see any sort of LOD jumps in modern games.

I do, particularly in unreal engine games. I still see it often enough in open world games too, though it's gotten WAY better than it used to be.

not that it really maters. They are using poor logic and you don't have to be a coder or even all that proficient to detect it. Unlimited it literally impossible, everything a computer does uses a unit of measure from it's limited resources. You can create the illusion and games largely rely on that illusion, but nothing a computer can do will ever be 'unlimited'.

Might as well be selling Kirby vacuums.

Hahaha! Bringing back the stencil buffers tag baby!
