I have waited for this moment ever since I was a child and saw an old image of a half rotted one pulled out of the water by a freighter. It took me a week to watch this video out of fear.

Also, the giant eye description in Childhood's End bothered the shit out of me, and this creature has that eye, the one that looked at me from the pit of an alien museum all those years ago.

Hooray! We've finally found our aquatic overlords! I imagine they'll be rather angry that we dared to gaze upon them before mass psychotropic subjugation was complete, and we'll all endure a century of torment in the Abyss of Writhing Isopods for our temerity, but it's just wonderful to know they're really THERE, watching us and weaving unknowable horrors into our collective fate until the final death of the hated sky-flame brings their slithering hordes to the surface!
