On an unrelated note: 'Dr. Strangelove' is Gunther von Hagens I believe. He's the guy who created Body Worlds (the plastic people show that travels around). THAT I find fascinating because they aren't gooey anymore.

Nice find! I had a semester of anatomy in college, and I TAed it a couple of times, but we never did anything this interesting. It's awesome that the internet exists and that we can see the stuff that's historically been reserved for medical students.

It was hilarious seeing how many prospective med school students couldn't manage the smell/sight of a human dissection.

I sawed the skull and cut the brain and eyes out of our body. I got lucky, actually, in that she was almost certainly killed by an MCA stroke that I came across during sectioning the brain and she had intraocular lenses that I had no damn idea were there.

I'll surely be donating my body for science after death in respect for whoever was kind enough to afford me the opportunity.

In the end, this is what we are. I'm not so much grossed out, as kind of in awe that as a species we are so self aware of ourselves.

Many of you feel sorry for this cadaver. That is because you are crazy. It has no feelings, and the new one is much better.

The fact that there was a time when we'd all have been put to death for seeing these things is five stars.
