And here I thought I'd never see King Leonidas beat up a young Ben Affleck to a script where 90% of the lines were "yaggh!"

Esperma de Mutante - 2013-02-22

I'd say there have been better action flicks recently, but this really was good. Far better than Universal Soldier 6 deserves to be.

That part at the end where Atkins goes on a killing rampage through the UniSol headquarters was jaw-dropping. I have no clue how they pulled that shit off on such a tiny budget.

Esperma de Mutante - 2013-02-23

It's interesting to watch for the shots when Adkins goes into shadows, I'm pretty sure those are the "seams" tying varying takes together for the rampage. Past that, the movie screams of dedication. Scott Adkins is slavishly devoted in everything I've seen him do and talented enough that it pays off, and John Hyams already proved with Uni-Sol: Regeneration that he can do a lot with shoestrings and squibs.

"It" being the end rampage oswald is referring to, even.

Caminante Nocturno - 2013-02-22

Of all of the stores they could have ended up it, it had to be the one where the town's entire population of 6 people congregate.

Mother_Puncher - 2013-02-23

This setting makes for usage of equipment for the fighters. But what of melon carts in chase scenes? Now THAT is entertainment.

The Mothership - 2013-02-23

oh, so they're both universal soldiers then?

Oscar Wildcat - 2013-02-23

Apparently he thinks he'll put an end to war this way.

PegLegPete - 2013-02-23

Speaking of Leonidas, this one scene is better than all of 300.

Drive fits that description.

It's no Genghis Khan on a skateboard...

An Arlovski! Quick, hit him in the chin! Everyone knows Arlovskis don't have chins!

BHWW - 2013-02-23

This and the previous Universal Soldier: Regeneration are suprisingly grim, dark little movies with some quite visceral action - I was taken aback at how much I was liking these.

Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, Directed by a ton of ideas plagiarized ideas from the work of Gaspar Noe.
