There was a time when a video that a corporation was trying to suppress with copyright claims would pop back up 10 times for every one they managed to swat down.

Now, peoples need to make response video blogs and to promote their personal brands have done more to stifle media propagation than a parent corporation could ever dream of doing.

I can't wait til the local conservatards and country radio stations start playing this non stop in a misguided attempt to show how oppressed the Southern white Christian man is. I was attending Ole Miss during Mississippi's vote on whether or not to remove the rebel flag from the state flag (hint: they voted to keep it) and such stupidity you've never seen.

I hate living in the South.

Maybe the idea behind this song wasn't executed very well, but I'm not sure I get the hoopla.

Fuck the south. I'm so glad I don't live there anymore.

I can get the argument that they're taking pride in only the non-racial culture of the South (assuming some or most of them are sincere about that), but the solution is to find some symbol of the South that isn't all about loving slavery so much that you'd fight to establish a new slavery-perpetuating nation.

Even Honey Boo Boo is a more positive emblem of the South than the Confederate Flag.

I've been reading a lot of the "anti -racism is codeword for anti-white" blogs lately There isn't any thinly veiled racism because its all outright racism Just horrible horrible ignorant humans. With that on my mind...

I don't think a majority of people who have confederate flag pride are half as racist as those white pride fucks. and as such I think this song (Even with the ungodly horrible "iron chain" line, and it's undertone of "well isn't slavery kinda everybody's fault?" ) is a good thing.

Keep in mind folks, this song is trying to speak to people on the low end of denominators.

I have no interest in this video. These stars are cuz I think LL Cool J is good-lookin.
