You can't be attractive, right-wing, and have self-respect in America.

themilkshark - 2013-04-14

My name is _____________ and I'm here to say...

Old_Zircon - 2013-04-14

I love Fruity Pebbles in a major way.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-04-14

Do any major-label rap songs sung by non-whites start that way anymore?

I think the last well-known rap/hip-hop "song" to use it was the opening theme to Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Quad9Damage - 2013-04-14

I knew that was going to be the opening line. I just knew.

It's the easiest one for awkward white people like her to reach for.

chairsforcheap - 2013-04-14

reminded me immediately of scott aukerman

"I'm Chiquita Banana, and I've come to say
Bananas must ripen in a special way"

Koda Maja - 2013-04-14

Serious question: was there ever a sincere instance of the "my name is x and I'm here to say" rhyme in a rap song?

Crunchy Frog - 2013-04-14

So, Rapper's Delight, the first rap song to gain mainstream popularity, has the lyric:

See I am Wonder Mike and I like to say hello
To the black, to the white, the red, and the brown, the purple and yellow
But first i gotta bang bang the boogie to the boogie
Say up jump the boogie to the bang bang boogie

Well before "rap music" was something sold on records, MCs were rapping over dance music at hip-hop dance parties. Naturally, an MC would introduce himself and talk himself up during the performance.

OK, that's all I got. Nowadays, "I'm MC ___ and I'm here to say," is unimaginative space-filling fluff.

HarrietTubmanPI - 2013-04-14

My name is Harriet and I'm here to say
Well, shit, I ain't got no imagination today

The Mothership - 2013-04-14

Jay-Z should have her killed for insulting him and his art form. if I were a rapper or hip hop artist I would have her capped.

StanleyPain - 2013-04-14

Fox always has the best in casual racism.

CIWB - 2013-04-14

Gawd. I don't like rap or hip-hop. I'm about as disconnected from that genre of music as one can possibly be.

At least I thought I was, until I saw this.

Cena_mark - 2013-04-14

Couldn't they have at least programmed a simple beat for her? Also I like how she mocks hip hop like its easy and then totally sucks.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-04-14

I note those in the YT comments defending her from "teh evil librulls" have the largest number of typos.

RocketBlender - 2013-04-14

Jesus, I had to pause halfway through until I stopped being ashamed to look. I haven't had this much trouble making it through a video in a single sitting since Chris-Chan's glory days. Why would you do this, knowing millions will see it?

MongoMcMichael - 2013-04-14

Welllllllllllllll I'm the Space Goblin
And I'm here to say
When you're crossin' the street
You best look both ways!

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2013-04-14

Normally, I wouldn't mind watching a Fox News anchor humiliate themselves but this was just awkward and embarrassing.

WORD UP AVERAGE HOMEGIRL

Yes, excellent submission/username synergy here.

Quad9Damage - 2013-04-14

AHHAHAHAH THAT IS THE FUNNIEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! NEGROS! FART!

Adham Nu'man - 2013-04-14

Yes because obviously rapping lamely is racist.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-04-14

I'd say it's more of a "lame rapping from a wealthy white person who supports a political party doing all it can to disenfranchise minority voters and whose major players have a long history of racial epithets, slurs, and demeaning language popping out of their mouths because it's so ingrained they don't even realize they're doing it is racist" kind of thing.

It's like how Mitt Romney was witlessly classist when he talked about being in dire straits after graduating college because he and his wife had to (gasp!) sell some stock shares.

At best, Dana and her ilk don't even realize how offensive they are on a regular basis.

Binro the Heretic - 2013-04-14

I have major doubts about her claim that Beyonce fears her.

bluiker - 2013-04-14

MY NAME IS RAPTOR AND SHOWBIZ IS MY GAME

Hooker - 2013-04-14

A five star reference, but I already used my stars :(

La Loco - 2013-04-14

This reminded me of this job I had in an office. It was one of the head board members 25 anniversary at the company and we were having a party lunch. A white, middle aged woman member of the board composed and recited a "rap song" a cappella about his time at the company. I cringed so hard goosebumps raised all over my body. Sadly, it was written and recited better than this video.

chairsforcheap - 2013-04-14

did you quit and have a fulfilling life after----- i should read the posters name before i submit
