I've had that morning a few times too many.

So how is Skyrim now?

I stopped playing after I got banned from the official forums (they said I was acting like a "hooligan". But how the buck else am I supposed to act when Bethesda decides to remove Acrobatics and pants?!? Grrrr stupid game!!!) I haven't played since... well, since before the Construction Kit got released, to be honest. But I've been thinking of reinstalling it, since by now, mods and official expansion packs have to have ironed out the flaws. Right?

Do you guys have any recommendations, as far as mods go? Like, do they have any good Morrowind-style parkour mods? Or maybe a Rainbow Dash conversion for Shadowmere?

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-04-28

I finished the game and didn't go back, though I haven't played any of the DLC. I plan on waiting for a Steam holiday sale where I can pick the DLC up for 5 bucks or whatever.

As far as mods, well...

MLP weapons and armor:

MLP horse/playable race:

There are also the usual "turn the Elder Scrolls into a sex simulator" mods. They're available for just about every Bethesda game, but it seems to me the ES games get the most of them. Oblivion had craploads, so they've probably ported over/updated for Skyrim by now (though you need a login to the nexus to pick those up).

If you've got a lot of time (and patience) to burn, and you have the last three Elder Scrolls games, you could try this:

It's not finished yet, but they're trying to merge Oblivion and Morrowind into the Skyrim engine.

Ohhhhhh yeah,.. the sex stuff. That was what it was. I totally forgot about that. IIRC, they banned me after I posted a video of Babette making a potion. The camera angle kinda made it look like she was giving you a POV handjob. Stupid mods had no sense of humor.

I remember Morrowblivion. One of the project leads tried to recruit me for the modding team, back when I was still modding Oblivion, but I didn't have the time, and figured they'd never get it done. It's cool to see that their efforts actually paid off! I'm not so sure about Morrowind done Skyrim style... my biggest complaint about Skyrim was that the engine was too dumbed down for my tastes. I liked the world, and I liked the quest design, and the graphics are great. But I'm one of those "autistic neckbeard TES fans", and they cut out most of my favorite gameplay conventions, because evidently things like Acro and spellmaking didn't test well with the masses. I'd rather see Skyrim revamped with the gameplay of Morrowind/Oblivion, than Morrowind/Oblivion revamped with the gameplay of Skyrim, but it's worth a look, thanks!

The Dragonborn DLC is pretty good, the main quest is pretty lame but as usual there are lots of other things to do. Dunno if it's worth 20 bucks to you.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2013-04-28

@Evilhomer
I like that there appears to be evil green fumes wafting from your body!
Also Babette seems to not be able to look directly at you during the act.
What is wring with you!!?!?

EvilHomer - 2013-04-28

I should specify that I neither made nor uploaded that video, I just embedded it in one of my posts. I think it was during a discussion about which Skyrim girl would make the best wife. My argument was that Babette would be the one to pick, since she was so good at... making potions (cue handjob video)

Had I made the video, you can be sure I wouldn't have made a rookie mistake like having Babette look away from the camera.

Here's the only mod worth installing:

"Nice house you have here. I'll take it."

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-04-28

Which is pretty much how the game works. It's funny that really replacing the player with a drunken bear doesn't alter the plot too terribly much.

Caminante Nocturno - 2013-04-28

That was the Dragonborn from the first Dovahbear video.
