Best ISS commander. Really did a good job of interacting, letting people know why the station is there and what it's doing. He is wonderful, I hope he gets to command it again.
I think that he set a great precedent for a viable approach to improving improving our space programs. In order to justify the amount of money needed for space exploration, I think the public need to feel involved. I can actually see the Mars One program going forward if they utilize social media and television in order to energize the public as planned.
I don't know if anyone else can come off as genuine as Hadfield, though. Watching his videos, you really get the sense that he loves what he's doing and wants to inspire kids and adults alike to find something they're equally passionate about.
That was awful. Reddit is covered in nerd-spooge today, "OMG, it's a song about space--in outer space!" "Chris Hadfield embodies our hopes and dreams!" "I wanna have his SPACE BABIES!!!" "I want Neil Degrasse Tyson to have his SPACE BABIES!!!"
I'll take my data served cold and objectively, thank you very much.
