Every postdoc I've known was a complete weirdo in one way or another (sometimes in the best ways, sometimes not) so i don't have any trouble believing that.

come to think of it, about a decade ago i saw an article about a study that found a strong statistical correlation between being in college after 30 and mental illness, i should see if i can track that down.

I met a postdoc earlier this year that was a real sicko from Nova Scotia. He made every woman of fertility age really uncomfortable.

Around 2004 I lived with a recently single post-post doc who was 40 and was completely awesome, smart and warm person wit a great sense of humor and as a result he had a long line of girls half his age trying to jump his bones without him making any kind of deliberate effort to foster the situation and somehow it wasn't creepy.
