I would recommend checking out Dan O'Bannon's film, 'The Resurrected' (an adaptation of the Case of Charles Dexter Ward). There's some clunky acting in it but overall I thought it was all right.
That was Lovecraft? I remember randomly watching it and being moderately impressed, granted my only other direct Lovecraft film experience was Beyond the Wall of Sleep, which was terrible.
This is probably a good spot to mention that as of four days ago I am officially working about 8 blocks for H.P. Lovecraft's house in a library that has at least one book bound in human skin.
I love this movie and I love to get angry at his stupid ass girlfriend for throwing a laptop in the ocean. She deserved to get eaten by monsters. Polluting bitch.
