I don't hear anything that sounds canned. The crowd just sounds confused. They're kinda programmed to cheer when they hear the bell and what happened took a while to sink in.
WCW was at a crossroads here. They could have changed and let other angles and stars develop instead they went right back with the tired old NWO shenanigans. This alone didn't kill WCW, but it led then down the crap path.
