Tooth decay has been correlated to heart disease by stakeholders in the American Dental Association and industry, but when the American Heart Association looked into the link they found no causal connection, and improving oral health did not have an impact on heart disease. Probably the correlation comes from people not taking care of their teeth at the same time as they let their health go to shit in general. That's not gonna stop Crest and Colgate from trying to sell you expensive toothpaste, though.

Whenever new ad displays come into the pharmacy I work at, I try to look into the ridiculous claims they make. I'd say that the fucks behind Crest ProHealth marketing can choke, but honestly, the kind of people who can buy toothpaste really should be taken for all they're worth.

Do you have some sources Mister Yuck? I'm hoping what you say is true. My boyfriend's shitty parents never took him or his siblings to the dentist when he was growing up and now he's had all his teeth removed except for a couple front ones that are pretty much rotted nubs. He's not exactly sitting on a couple grand to get them fixed and I always worry how it affects his health.
