I fully support there being more Fire By Nite clips up here. There are so many good ones.

It's so bizarre how Christian media apes and references the very pop culture it's trying so hard to insulate the viewer from.

I also found it funny how "evil" and "ungodly" programs from ten+ years ago became staples on God-Botherer local TV where I grew up. If it wasn't preachin' and singin', it was Gunsmoke and murder-mystery shows.

This is superior to modern Christian media.

Fire By Nite was really magical. I'm glad that people are finding out about it. There was a time about 12 years ago when I would rush home from a bar or a party to catch reruns of this show on TBN.

My favorite episode is the origin story in Family First where you find out his mom used to be really enormously obese until JEESUS helped her lose weight. Through prayer.

Also, in the same episode Mullet Jr. saves the day after he transforms his family (who are all punk rockers wearing black leather) to WHITE JEANS WEARING Christians.

When I was in my early teens I would actually look forward to watching Fire by Nite. I remember hanging on every word of the sermons and guest stars and missionaries. All that jazz. That lasted until I was fifteen when I realized it was too much pressure and also normal TV like Babylon 5 and Star Trek DS9 lured me away and gave me another fantasy world to live in. Thanks, crappy sci fi television!

I don't think that anything can top the "gays will give you AIDS intentionally and then you will turn into a punk rocker" episode for pure evil, though the Dungeons & Dragons expose is closer to my heart.
