Is it just me, or has the Plague Doctor costume become MAJORLY overused in fantasy games/RPGs in the past few years?

It's like it fulfills that desire to be both steampunk and furry without a commitment to either camp.

Until I played Assassin's Creed 2, I had only seen it in history books and official, true accounts. Now it's all over popular fiction. I don't want to say it's all due a video game, though. It may be due to zombie fiction pervading pop culture, which in turn is a play on our fears of climate change, biological warfare, resources running low and the sense that western civilization is on the verge of collapse.

Yeah, it's totally Assassin's Creed II's fault. I'm fine with it, though; as a medieval history buff and a bit of an idiot, I've always liked plague doctor costumes.

Artwork reminds me of Mike Mignola. I need more Mignola in my life.

I wish to play this game immediately.

OH come on! Saying "cyclopean" is absolutely retarded. Way to break absolutely 0 new ground with your stupid little game guys.

I'm a sucker for roguelikes.
It's cool that they are bringing one of the elements that made Ancient Domains of Mystery (ADOM) so much fun, the idea of corruption. At least I think that's what they're doing.

I'd say it was a perfectly cromulent use of the word. It is some weird-ass masonry.
