This show is hilarious. This one and the driver's ed episode are my favorites.

man if they just threw a TF2 reference in there it would be perfect
The overwhelming number of hats dictates that they inadvertently did.
I think it might actually be product placement.

"The mere existence of this show is making so many nerds SO MAD"
Really? I'd of thought they'd be all over it. It looks like nerd peanut butter got in their dork chocolate.
Yeah, I haven't heard or seen any nerd rage directed at this show, myself. Is it just because I hang out with a better class of nerd?
Wow. Just wow.
I blame "New Teen Titans" for introducing treacly melodrama to the DC Universe; it's what some people expect from their Teen Titans.
I thought drama of some kind was implied when the word "teen" became involved.
I tried watching the first "Teen Titans" series. I'm a huge TT fan, but I'm familiar with the DCU and liked the previous animated shows. What turned me off was that this was anime-ized because "that's what the kids like." It didn't add anything all that relevant. When it did get interesting, it'd chibi-ize one of the characters for no apparent reason, as if they had some kind of quota to fill.
This seems to just bring the Titans into the "Super Best Friends" or MLP camps. If the humor was better, it might actually be like "The Tick," but it's applying the jokes with a sledgehammer too much for that kind of show.
In DC Comics ... ? No, not in any great measure, unless you consider the Clark / Lois / Lana / Superman thing melodramatic. For soap operatics you pretty much had to go to Marvel, where there was a long tradition of broken hearts and being unable to confess love and that sort of noise. Marvel was publishing romance comics long before they were doing superhero comics, and in fact one of their teen romance stars even became a superheroine (Patsy Walker, the Hellcat).
Marvel was also kicking DC's ass at sales, so DC started trying to Marvelize by importing one of Marvel's stock writers (Marv Wolfman) and letting him update the Teen Titans, and do it Marvel style. It was terrible, which is why it is revered to this day.
You're all forgetting the New Teen Titans' greatest contribution to comics: to have Robin age five years overnight and give him a new outfit with a giant disco collar.
Also there was this guy:
I'm not sure what he did, besides look like that.
You also have to keep in mind that the debut of Teen Titans GO! roughly coincided with the cancellation of Young Justice, which was a well-liked, serious show, with season-long plot arcs, romance plots, and character development. They're two very different shows, and I think some fans blame TTG for canceling and replacing YJ.
Some of that may have to do with the way Spectacular Spiderman (another fairly serious show that was very well-liked) actually was replaced with Ultimate Spiderman (which is also a lot of "omg that's so random" slapstick and referential humour). It feels like everyone is trying to make the next Adventure Time.

Oh wait, HAT party.

It has its moments. Sometimes the humor seems real forced, but this show is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Fuck the haters, I love this incarnation.
My favorite so far was the one where Beast Boy revealed he sometimes just paints a nearby animal green so he can slip away and goof off back at the Tower.
CUT TO: The other Titans getting their asses royally kicked by a giant alien monster while screaming at a green pigeon for help.

So what's so rage-inducing about this show? Is Tara Strong not Raven in it?
Seven Arts/H8 Red
Oh, she's Raven. She also likes a pony-based cartoon, which the Teen Titans fanbase hates because Raven's DARK and OCCULT, and God forbid she have quirks.
Oh wow, you weren't kidding. I just looked it up, and Raven's a closet Pegasister!
That. Is. Awesome. Never seen this show before, but I like it already.

The fact that they didn't go the "SO KAWAII BIG EYES BIG SWEATDROPS RANDOM KANJI J-POP THEMESONGS! JUST LIKE ANIME!" route automatically makes this superior to the 2003 series.
