If you interspersed it with scenes of getting eaten by a giant couch, this would be exactly what my dreams were like at age 6.

Is that flying dune buggy a Meyers Manx?
|
sasazuka - 2013-10-27 Ah, found the Wikipedia page on "Wonderbug". I was both right and wrong about it being a Meyers Manx.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonderbug
"In Wonderbug mode, the car was a Volkswagen-based Meyers Manx-clone body. Specifically the body was a Dune Runner manufactured by Dune Buggy Enterprises of Westminster, California.[4] Dune Buggy Enterprises offered the Dune Runner with three different hood choices. Wonderbug has the T- Bird hood choice.[5]"

sasazuka - 2013-10-27 I'd say I might have seen Wonderbug as a kid, but I think I'm just thinking of SPEED BUGGY from the Hanna-Barbera cartoon of the same name, which has more or less the exact same face as Wonderbug, just in cartoon form.
|
SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-10-27 Same style, yeah. I liked "Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch" better than "Speed Buggy."
I must've had a thing for protagonist vehicles that only communicated non-verbally. I wonder if they make medication for that?

I like how Kaptain Kool flat out sexually harasses Superchick and everybody's totally fine with it.
Also, did they sing the line, "When you join us / you'll know why we are gay"?

Hailey2006 - 2013-10-29 Did you know the guy who played Kaptain Kool also auditioned for Fonzie!

I hated this show so God-damned much when I was a kid.
Seriously, you wouldn't think a six-year-old capable of such hatred and rage as this thing inspired in me.

I liked the Supershow, it was fast moving (didn't remember how intense until I watched the clip), and had different segments to keep you interested, plus it has Bigfoot And Wildboy, and Bigfoot is always awesome.
I was a veteran of shows like Electric Company and Banana Splits, so I could understand this, full of stuff that kids would like.
This was probably killed off by Star Wars, entertainment changed after that came out.

Magic Mongo sounded so familiar I had to look the guy up on imdb. Apparently he did a million cartoon voices including Scrappy Doo!
I never imagined the voice of Scrappy looking like that.
