There was a time when I could tell if this was made by Christians trying to make the gospel appealing to kids or people mocking Christians for trying to make the gospel appealing to kids.
Ugh. My sister-in-law is still a heavy Christian fundie, and I had to ride in her minivan with her kids for a few hours. Naturally, it was all Christian music.
The number of "novelty" songs about things that "got saved" were really incredible. There's one about famous cartoon characters all finding Jesus, which I guess was the chance for the singer to show off his catalog of animated character impressions, most of which was them saying "Hallelujah."
I worry that I'm still in that minivan, and what I'm experiencing now is my brain trying to cope by retreating into a simulated reality.
That's ridiculous, SteamPoweredKleenex. If your mind had retreated into some sort of simulated reality, there would be a portion of your subconscious trying to snap you out of it. Part of your mind would reject the dream-state and try to shatter it by telling you to wake up. It would tell you to wake up, SteamPoweredKleenex. It would be saying you need to wake up. It would say you need to wake up. YOU NEED TO WAKE UP.
The fundie trend of refusing to celebrate Halloween is hilarious because they still wear costumes and get candy, they just do it at Church so it's Jesus-y enough to not count as Satanic.
