I'm mostly disappointed that he didn't actually just make an overly complex cog-and-gear slingshot. If there was ever a chance for Steampunk to be functional, this was it.

Oh yes. Well, he said he was just starting the line, so maybe he'll come up with something like that later. (He did do some of the weapons for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters-- still not enough to make me want to watch the thing-- so he can obviously get cinematic...)

Steampunk, by definition, is useless shit glued to shit. If it worked with the gears and things it would be called "mechanical."

One thing I like about his channel is watching how much his craftsmansip has evolved with his conventional slingshot builds since he started it, from plain but functional early on to some of the recent ones that are quite nicely carved. The wood painted to like like metal looks kind of tacky and seems like a step backward, but it's good he's trying new things of course, even if it is steampunk.

I'm glad he's taken a break from zombie shirts.
