Marvin the martian tweeted him?

Xenocide - 2014-02-04

Nah, it was Teddy from Bob's Burgers.

infinite zest - 2014-02-04

Like Yoda the tweet sounds to mee

Xenocide - 2014-02-04

He thinks anything that acknowledges the existence of non-white, non-English speakers "divides us."

At some point Glenn is going to just take a walk through a major city and start screaming "STOP DIVIDING US!" to any brown person he comes across.

infinite zest - 2014-02-04

The thing is the ad doesn't even acknowledge that existence. It's people singing the American National Anthem in different languages. Aren't we required to take at least one foreign language class in school? And isn't Fox News simulcast En Espanol? God, fuck this guy. I actually have a bit of respect for Fox for firing him.

infinite zest - 2014-02-04

While he's at it, he should go after taco bell's slogan "Live Mas." Because what does Mas mean anyway? Is he like a rapper or something?

Binro the Heretic - 2014-02-04

Fucking Coke all dividing America politically. That's Glenn Beck's job, motherfuckers!

God-damned foreigners come into our country and steal work from a good, honest American and THEY DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO LEARN TO SING IN ENGLISH!

When did Glenn beck start trying to look so hipster-chic? I like my right wing nut-jobs in suits and ties or no shirt at all, goddamnit!!!

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-02-04

I think he secretly wishes he was Ira Glass.

infinite zest - 2014-02-04

Sadly, I'd probably pay more attention to a Glenn Beck version of "This American Life" than I do Glass'.

poorwill - 2014-02-04

I thought he looked like Colonel Sanders.

chumbucket - 2014-02-04

He's fat.

Tobster - 2014-02-04

Glenn Beck is using that goatee to divide his face from his neck.

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2014-02-04

Didn't he swear he'd stop doing this sort of thing, like, two weeks ago?

takewithfood - 2014-02-04

God, these people are afraid of everything.

misterbuns - 2014-02-04

If you were watching yourself bleed out, you'd be terrified too.

cognitivedissonance - 2014-02-05

If Coke's ad was just somebody saying "Mexican Coke: Better than normal Coke", I'd consider it truth in advertising and a monumental step in race relations. Because Mexican Coke is manna from Heaven.

As it stands, the commercial that we saw was a glib gloss over the potential fall out from the Sochi Olympics. If anything, it wasn't an ad that said "Yes, we'll pull out because we disagree with these anti-gay laws", and instead it was like a half-step "Maybe the gays will get this and the anti-gays will be distracted by the Mexicans" compromise, insidious in it's open willingness to try to have it's Coke and drink it too.

The one thing we can be sure of is that commercials with other languages ALWAYS have ulterior motives.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-02-05

I actually taught the kids in my classes the "I'd like to teach the world to sing" song and they loved it. It was a perfect tool for making English fun and my school has been trying to push learning English through fun songs more. And they really liked it for the message of coming together. It was probably one of the more touching moments in my time in Korea and though I come home in a month I will always have that.

I intend on showing them the new Coke ad before I leave so they know that America is about strength through diversity and that patriotism in our country is not limited by ethnicity.

also I hope he obsessively watches this and then it turns out to be the last thing he sees before going permanently blind.

Tough American Bouncer - 2014-02-05

That is your free capitalism at work, you idiot!

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-02-05

well hello favorite new screen name

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-02-06

Where's Glenn Beck's promised right-wing version of "Glee?"

Where's his Jonestown-style Libertopian money pit that he was going to build?
