Weird. I saw this the other day and was thinking of submitting it but I thought I'd seen it on here before, or maybe just assumed it was on here.. I don't know. I was too young to see any of these shows, but I guess Sanford and Son, Jeffersons and All in the Family were all pretty liberal about the N word in a contextually positive way, when the very thought of a toilet flushing or one bed instead of two was still risque.

These episodes later got the N word bleeped out. And the next big thing was like when ABC when they could say "asshole" and NBC with "shit" sometime in the '90s. Words like "shit," "fuck", the rest of Carlin's list are "dirty" words, while "nigger" "faggot" "kike" etc. live in a different category: Actual words of hate. I think it's an episode of Seinfeld where Jerry criticizes people who grew up with ponies. They use "Poland" instead of "Jew;" in doing so they insinuate the same thing but it's played off for laughs instead of the point it was probably trying to make.

Doesn't seem to me like George really learned anything at all. He still seems pretty pissed off by the end of this clip.
