When I released my album, I looked into getting physical CDs made by DiscMakers. They say on their website that if you can pick up the CDs in person in New Jersey, you don't have to pay shipping. They might be made in the same factory.
Wouldn't surprise me too much actually. I remember I walked through the Panavision factory when I was in film school and saw facilities not unlike these for producing and shipping cameras. Including all the delicate bits I figured that other companies would outsource to cut costs.
Having actually owned the HIStory CD once upon a time, I actually found this a moderately interesting watch.
People looked especially bad at this time in history.
