I didn't think I could make it very far, but by about three minutes in I just lay back and let it all wash over me, and by 4:50, I knew I was ready for the long haul.

I am a massive, MASSIVE Gundam fan. I have spent more hours of my life building little plastic model robots than I'd care to admit...

...and I want to punch this guy in the throat.

The Arch Deluxe Gundam proved to be an unpopular hamburger and was soon discontinued.

In the hopper I assumed this was a movie, and that they had gotten completely ridiculous in titling the Gundam movies.

I just finished watching the entire Kill la Kill series and was so happy with it. It made me see once again the sheer awesome that anime can be with its depth, absurd situations and consistently badass moments with a tone that managed to balance drama and comedy perfectly. It was an anime show for anime people but dammit, I'm anime people and that was my show.

Then I see this and it makes sad that Japanese cartoons are a thing.

All this needs is a comic-store clerk who's silently praying for another customer to walk in and interrupt this nutcase's unceasing robot fantasy diatribe.

And yet I'm glad this was posted. In an age when most insufferable anime fans are either meme-shrieking teenage cosplayers or closeted sex offenders, it's a little refreshing to encounter an old-fashioned tech-obsessed nerd.
