Jet Bin Fever - 2014-07-12
Yeah, he should've had another 10 years or so in him, but hard living and drugs and booze when you're young'll do that I guess. I was really sad about this. He was one of the 2 Ramones I got to meet.

Bobonne - 2014-07-12 Part of the endocrine system, it's connected to the liver.
It's there to develop cancer and make you have to undergo endoscopy examinations.

Jack Dalton - 2014-07-12
I'm too lazy to research this, but hasn't every Ramone died of cancer?

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-07-12 Sid Vicious learned to play the bass to the Ramones' first album.
On the audio for the firwst concert, when the band is tuning up, you can hear a bass play that "Blitzkrieg Bop" riff.

infinite zest - 2014-07-13
For whatever reason, I never got into the Ramones like I did punk from Los Angeles around the same time and the Dead Boys, things like that.. it became embarrassingly clear that I needed to do some serious homework when I heard "rockaway beach" on a jukebox and thought it was some current Oregon punk rock band singing about the coastal Oregon town.
I really can't think of another band as iconic and representative of a particular genre whose entire line-up is gone: Townshend, Daltrey, Ringo, Paul, Mick, Keith, Lydon, even lesser-known names like Cheetah Chrome, the rest of The Germs.. Even Frankie fucking Valli is still around with whoever else is left in the Four Seasons.
