It's for a good cause but yeah. Thing is, you can be creative with it without wasting water in the dog days of summer. I got called out so I did it by giving an ice bucket a 1,000+ page book (not Infinite Jest) and told the ice bucket his book report was due in 3 days. It makes me feel better about all the people in the world who don't have drinkable tap water wondering why people are dumping buckets on their heads.

Frankly, these massive fundraisers for for-profit industries really underscores just how incredibly fucked up the American People are in practice. Let's hold a bake sale for Chase Bank, they're a little short of cash this week . Something about a fine for frauds committed before the financial crisis.

Yikes. In my case I match what I give to the HRC each month. Not enough to make an impact, but it helps. A week ago I saw it as a bunch of people taking some sort of challenge like the nutmeg meme: "what are these people doing and why are they doing it?" When I found out though, my challenge was to ask everyone in Portland to stop wasting our water. Send it to places that need it like Detroit. Or the rest of the world.

Blizzard could then charge per view even though the bucket is 10 years old and free buckets are available that are just as good.
