So I called in the Marines.... AND the 101st Airborne!

On a related note I went to a renaissance festival the other week and they had REAL jousting hosted by the WORLD CHAMP JOUSTER ala Full Metal Jousting fame as although it was a lot more exciting than compared to the tv it was still kinda lame, mostly due to them playing that Mortal Kombat song (complete with character name calling out) just to ruin the atmosphere.

Anyway there was a SCA duel on a "bridge" (two rows of straw bales) which basically consisted of 10 fat men slap fighting while dual wielding foam and dressed in "armour"

So in conclusion, renaissance fairs are goofy fun.

I went to a party and David Faustino was there. Not sure if it was his house. He does other things you know.

I found this strangely inexplicably cathartic.

Al Bundy didn't realize how good he had it with his wife always in the mood for sex.

Yeah back before iPhones, a sexy horny wife was about as great as yolking it out in the the bathroom on your lunchbreak

"Daddy, beat him up."
"Of course, pumpkin."

I was getting worried it wasn't there. One of the best scenes in sitcom history.

Ed O'Neill has a Black Belt in BJJ, awarded to him after 22 years training under the Gracie family.

Perhaps these are the scenes that woke the tiger.

Maybe the Grace Family have blackbelts because Al Bundy was training under them. That makes sense.

You won't see this on Modern Family.

I had to look up what that was, but yeah. The 80s and 90s sure had some gems. Between this and Night Court, lots of things that I rarely see outside of a show like Tim and Eric these days. I guess I'll give what little I've seen of Malcom in the Middle the benefit of the doubt for a slightly more contemporary example, but usually those were things going on in his mind. Back then, John Larroquette would jump out a 50-story window and be fine next week, or Al Bundy would just KO some guy. I miss those days.
