Don't you just love the marketing of these movies? They market District 1 makeup in my local drug store. In the context of the story, that's like selling the beauty products of Marie Antoinette to pre-revolution France.

And then they've got Hunger Games candy bars. I wonder if the irony of selling fattening foods based on a movie whose foundation is starvation to an already-obese population ever occurred to the people in charge.

Alright, so static electricity. Cool. More energy to raise the water so it can fall etc. etc. sure everyone is on the same page with that... BUT

What the fuck is capitol tv, district 5, what the fuck ever? This some Sesame Street educational PSA or something?

It's Hunger Games-inspired stuff to do some kind of science experiment. Unless this is more efficient than a hydroelectric generator or is useful for storing energy from renewable sources (i.e. using solar power to pump water into a reservoir that's then used to run a turbine when the sun goes down), it's little more than a curiosity.

But seriously, enough with the Hunger Games... except it doesn't suck quite as hard as the Maze Runner.

They need to stop all this Young Adult post-apoc crap.

Ring Ring.

Hello?

Oh, it's Lord Kelvin on the phone. He sounds upset. You take it.
