I want to start this rant by at the very least praising the title card and the angry cartoon fox that graces it. Its just so angry and it suits her so well. Also it can run and read at the same time... very cool!
What baffles me about social conservatives is how they fail to recognize being on the wrong side of history, as with censors. I can't think of any example of our society looking back at censorship and saying it was a good idea. Typically we look back upon them as idiots who tried to block great works of art and literature. Why would anyone aspire to be the next Tipper Gore?

kingarthur - 2014-11-28

Hr channel is full of reviews like this. She also has many, many videos of her and some other Christians at community library meetings trying to get a public library basically shut down over "pornography" and other things.

EvilHomer - 2014-11-29

Well, a couple problems there, Cena. First, our society (by which I assume you mean the society that you and I are used to, and agree with; Ms Fox, Mrs Gore et al are part of a society as well, just maybe not "ours") looks dimly upon censorship because we have grown up in a very socially libertarian age. We were encouraged to value freedom and to look upon censorship with disgust - we love our rock music and our video games and our blowjob orgy porno books. However, our life experiences encompass only a very small sliver of a much wider society, a brief and fleeting island in an ocean of time; it is entirely possible (indeed, arguably likely) that most of society will regress back to a system where censorship is the default (assuming this has not happened already), and that the Tipper Gore's will in fact carry the day, consigning *us* to the dustbins of history. Why would people aspire to this? Well, there are many reasons, as many reasons as there are Tippers, Liebermans, Foxes, and Sunsteins, but I think it ultimately comes down to the fact that human beings just aren't naturally tolerant or open-minded, and that the more comfortable a group becomes in it's own power - the less challenged a group's position is by a rival Other capable of wielding bureaucratic coercion as expertly as they can - the less inclined that group will be to bother with liberalism.

The second issue is that public libraries are funded by the public i.e. by everyone in the local community, *including Ms Fox and her fellow Puritan SJWs*. Now I myself don't agree with her position re: the need for censorship, of course. I think the book sounds like great fun. BUT! If a library is being funded by a community, and this community decides, via democratic consensus, that it does not want a certain book on display, then really: should this book be on display? Should it remain on the shelves against the wishes of the people who paid for the book, against the will of those for whom this library supposedly exists? Bullies like Ms Fox should never be allowed to ban the book everywhere, it should always be available to anyone who wants it through private channels (perhaps even through private donations to public channels?), and of course her thinly veiled suggestion that the author be handed over the NSA as a potential pedofork is flat out INSANE... but in *her* library, in her backyard, is it really so unreasonable for her to try mobilizing her fellow anti-sex busybodies against something they consider perverse?

(P.S. My stars are for the cartoon fox. I wonder if she's a furry?)

EvilHomer - 2014-11-29

Oh my God, the "Cartoons" playlist...!

Cena_mark - 2014-11-29

It seems she is the squeaky wheel. I don't really know about how the rest of her community feels about library books, but she's the one bringing the fight and bringing the library to court. But as a whole I believe liberalism will prevail. The internet is opening people up to all kinds of stuff. The only hope the Tipper Gores have is to have the entire society regress Sharia style. Hopefully the young people don't let it happen.

Again more raving on how awesome the fox is. Its like its rushing out full speed to deliver a long shame inducing lecture.

EvilHomer - 2014-11-29

If the rest of her community doesn't care, then she's of no consequence! While it is sometimes possible for loud minorities to ruin things for the silent majority (Derpygate was apparently the result of something like *ten* angry emails to Hasbro), I think public libraries are robust enough to weather a one-woman storm. It looks like she may be on some library boards or something (maybe she just stalks them?) which would give her more influence, but without wider support, she's just going to be a Marge at the start of "Itchy & Scratchy & Marge", not a Marge at the middle of "Itchy & Scratchy & Marge".

Cena_mark - 2014-11-29

Don't compare her madness to Derpygate. It was wrong for the cartoon to have a character mocking the mentally handicapped and you know it.

EvilHomer - 2014-11-29

Who says Derpy had anything to do with the mentally handicapped? I never thought Derpy had anything to do with the mentally handicapped, never even crossed my mind. If YOU associate the mentally handicapped with "being derpy", then that sounds like a problem with you, not the rest of us.

Cena_mark - 2014-11-29

I wasn't the only one with those concerns. What's the big deal anyways, Derpy is just a pointless background pony... (waits for obvious background pony jab.)

EvilHomer - 2014-11-29

Like I said, it was, at most, about ten people who got all butthurt. Seriously, they released the numbers at one point, it was hardly even a blip, so few complaints that one wonders if Hasbro even nixxed Derpy on account of the Retard Defense League, or if that story was just an urban legend, and they actually nixxed Derpy for some other reason (like maybe they were worried that if they let fans name their pony, Derpy might fall into the public domain?)

And why would I make a joke about Applejack being a background pony? We both know AJ's not even in the episode, let alone the background, 80% of the time. She's more of an occasionally recurring guest character, like Pipsqueak, or Twist.

TeenerTot - 2014-11-29

Well, if the author only has 20 Facebook fans, then....something.

EvilHomer - 2014-11-29

Be sure to check out her channel's 94 video playlist: "Orland Park Public Library Child Porn Investigation".

94 videos. 12 hours long.

"In October 2013, Megan Fox and Kevin DuJan began investigating the Orland Park Public Library because a staff member there told them that a lot of men masturbate in the building and arouse themselves sexually in the computer area and the Library does nothing to stop it. "We get a lot of those", the staffer said, with a shrug. Fox & DuJan then launched a Freedom of Information Act investigation into just how bad things really were in this Library and uncovered incident reports where staff were told that child porn had been accessed, that men were openly masturbating in the computer area, that women and children were being accosted, and that other sex crimes were happening in the building…but the police were not being called or the Library would wait until after the offenders left before calling the cops so no record of these incidents would exist outside of the Library's internal files. When Fox & DuJan confronted the Library's Board of Trustees about this, the Board and its attorneys at Klein Thorpe Jenkins engaged in a year-long campaign of "crisis management strategy" aimed at Fox & DuJan and intended to scare them away and make them end their investigation. The police were used as weapons against them. The Library lied to the media to discredit them. The Board violated the Freedom of Information Act and the Open Meetings Act to hide documents and silence Fox & DuJan. Every step of the way, all of this was documented on video and posted to YouTube for the world to see just how corrupt and vile public officials in one small suburban village in Illinois could be and the lengths to which a public library would go to continue allowing unfettered access to child porn and open masturbation in a public building full of children."

EvilHomer - 2014-11-29

Oooohhh. Right, I remember this lady! She was the one that was on the news a year or two ago, attacking those Chicago-area libraries for not censoring their internet connections. I think she was lampooned on the Colbert Report or something.

TheGarbageFairy - 2014-11-29

5 stars for OPEN SORES ON HER VA-JAY-JAY

spikestoyiu - 2014-11-29

Comments and ratings disabled for this one too. Brave. Very brave.

oddeye - 2014-11-29

Well... I'm sold, thanks for bringing this to my attention lady.

countvelcro - 2014-11-30

This makes me like the urine-drinking, Santeria-practicing,poor judgement in movie roles making Megan Fox even more.
