This is a remake of the director's previous movie, The Galaxy Invader. I think the only big difference between the two is that this movie has nudity in it.

I think it's the other way round: The Galaxy Invader is a remake of The Alien Factor (though it looks crappier in some ways). The Galaxy Invader also provided the completely unrelated title footage for the MST3K favorite Pod People.

I'll bet more people know about The Galaxy Invader from the MST3K version of Pod People than from the actual film itself.

The Cinematic Titanic version of this is really good and it's on Hulu plus.
