That's awesome. I drove all the way from Atlanta to get to that stinker. Cena_mark2.0 was my forum name on PW Forums and the 2.0 was added to Cena_mark as the result of my first banning. I had a sign with my forum name on it to see if anyone would notice. No one did, cause I was up the cheap seats and I never rewatched the PPV cause it sucked.

I swear to god, Cena Mark used to post threads under the name "Biscuit" on the old Beck.com message board. He's the only other person I've seen online bring up the "JFK was shot by his driver" theory.

As to the video it self, there was something super enduring about that stoner-esque Simpsons dub.

Yup that was me. I had such high hopes for the New ECW. I saw how much the show sucked, but I still had just a little bit of hope coming into December to Dismember, but the show snuffed out the last of that hope. At the time I felt like I wasted my time and money, but in retrospect I'm glad to have experienced it.

I'd pretty much stopped watching wrestling by 2006; aside from the SvR video games and a resigned understanding that CM Punk was the only good up-and-coming wrestler, I mostly avoided anything to do with the WWE. The news that they were going to "bring back" ECW almost, *almost* brought me out of retirement, but I was a cynical college hipster at that point and I figured there was going to be nothing to tie New ECW in with the True, aside from the branding. Turns out I was right. :(

In retrospect, I think I would have liked to have gone to this, just so I could say I was there. It's one of those things that must have been so awful, you'd be telling your grandkids about it.

The old beck.com message boards were great. A lot of talented people used to post their original works of art up there. But you did bring up the JFK thing before, right?

No, I've never really been into JFK conspiracies.

My closest wrestling-related experience would be getting a couple of seconds worth of screen time during a Benoit match on an episode of Thunder.

Hey it's the guys from the Scooby Doo WWE review. I don't think they're jerks. In fact I kind of want to get shitfaced with them.

Yeah, they've been on here already; they're part of the Botchamania franchise. Normally I love their unique brand of clever edits, infectious gigglyness, and Simpsons references, but the Lita Moonsault is sacred. They go too far!!!

I'm glad that they recognized both Miss Martinez's extraordinary wrestling ability and her marvelous arse, even if they seemed far more focused on the latter. They sort of tried to make it into a joke, like haha she can't wrestle (LIES and SLANDEROUS MOCKERY), or haha she wrestles in a manner that's totally inappropriate for a WWE diva, but on the whole I think I can forgive them. They have a gimmick to uphold, and they clearly think better of dissing her as the video continues. She was soooo much fucking better than Candice Michelle, or any other WWE diva for that matter, save maybe Lita, Chyna, or Natalya (with whom she was co-equal).

The boys show proper deference to Sabu, RVD, and CM Punk, who as we all know are God-tier wrestlers and much better than lameass dorkfaces like Big Slow or John Cena. They also know that Matt was the best Hardy, as well as the true star of this PPV... which is sad, given how awesome this event should have been, and would have been, without Vince and his "like what I tell you/ we're entering into the Cena Age" bullshit. It's not the worst thing the WWE did to ECW (ending Beulah's career with a rape-fuck pin has that honor) but it's close. *Other than* being cruel to Lita, and being sort-of disrespectful towards Shelly, this was a great video! But what they did wrong was unforgivable.

I challenge each of them to an 'I Apologize' Match. I will put them all through a table, then hit them with a Walls of Jericho until they repent of their mockerous ways.
