Puppies have all the complex thoughts that you can imagine they have. It's one of their powers. Also they're fuzzy.

EvilHomer - 2015-02-01

That's pretty funny! I usually don't like GoDaddy advertisements, but this one was nice.

What's with all the ad-talk here lately? Is the Superbowl coming up?

Lurchi - 2015-02-01

should've been Michael Vick driving the van at the end

Cena_mark - 2015-02-01

Such a shitty double standard for dog people. You can make a Superbowl ad where a dog covers up his murder of the neighborhood cats, by bribing people with Dorritos, but you can't make light of puppy mills. Do people think all the Budweiser dogs and puppies come from the local shelter?

EvilHomer - 2015-02-01

Which "dog people" complained about this? How many complainers were there, and what were their dog credentials? You say "dog people" like this behavior, if it even occurred at all, is somehow representative of a proud and noble culture that's existed for ten thousand years.

#notalldogpeople

Kid Fenris - 2015-02-01

Yes, someone should call the Dog Police about this.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2015-02-01

>>You can make a Superbowl ad where a dog covers up his murder of the neighborhood cats, by bribing people with Dorritos, but you can't make light of puppy mills.

Can't tell if you're serious. The difference, of course, is that puppy mills are real, but dog-on-cat crime is extremely rare, at least at that level of sophistication.

My initial response to this ad was "unpleasant, but nothing to get mad about", but it stayed with me because the reality of puppy mills can't be dismissed, and the way they're being portrayed here dismisses a major source of wholesale suffering as "politically incorrect".

Oh, and their customer service sucks ass, by the way. Go fuck yourself, Daddy.

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-02-01

Oh, you know how it is with dog people. Always whining about something. Bark bark bark. Woof Woof Woof. Do they ever get tired of hearing their own voice? Not that I can tell.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2015-02-01

Here in the Midwest, Puppy Mills are kind of evil. There might be ones that breed dogs humanely and all, but the laws governing them are REALLY loose, to the point where just about anyone can have one with some really awful conditions (and many of them breed for dog fighting or attack dogs that some idiots think are just the thing to protect their meth lab or whatever).

The manage to keep going because every time someone says, "hey, let's limit Puppy Mills to having, say, only a hundred and fifty dogs in one location," the Libertards get whipped into a frenzy about "THEY'RE TRYIN' TO TAKE AWAY YOUR FREEDOM TO HAVE AS MANY DOGS AS YOU WANNA!"

And the measures are voted down, because morons.

infinite zest - 2015-02-01

I dunno. Naturally, when I hear "puppy mill" I think of a Rube Goldberg device that churns out puppies to the music of Tennessee Ernie Ford or something, not a nice farm that breeds happy Goldendoodles. When my dog died when I was a kid we went to plenty of farms like this looking for a new one, and I felt the same way when I had kittens. I couldn't possibly take care of 7 cats so I gave them up. I know they'd miss each other, but I didn't feel like I was running a cat mill.

infinite zest - 2015-02-01

..and the rest of this is what's called a joke.

NancyDrewFan123 - 2015-02-01

The doggy was happy to be home and then they sold him :(

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-02-01

Isn't this the third or fourth time GoDaddy has pulled a trick like this?

spikestoyiu - 2015-02-01

Yes. They exist mostly to make shitty, controversial Super Bowl ads. I'm not being facetious. At least this one isn't full of tits like some of their previous, stupid ads.

Don't forget how much their CEO loves shooting giant animals. Like elephants.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2015-02-01

Tits = Good

Puppymills = Bad

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-02-01

I'd sooner support a million puppy mills than tolerate a single big tit!

spikestoyiu - 2015-02-01

Nobody on the planet is anti-tit you fucking goobs.

Tits are great; shitty Go Daddy ads featuring Danika Patrick and also some tits are stupid. The ads are stupid. Go Daddy is stupid.

Oh, and puppy mills are fucking stupid.

Everything is stupid.

EvilHomer - 2015-02-01

Tits are great, yet GoDaddy somehow finds a way to ruin them, every time. Danica Patrick, for example, is not hot. By any stretch of the imagination! What they need to do is get someone like Hannah Minx or Bianca Beauchamp to do their commercials instead.

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-02-01

When a flat-chested girl hugs you, she holds you closer to her heart.

EvilHomer - 2015-02-01

Hey Caminante, what are your feelings on crotch-boobs?

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-02-01

... Butt-cheeks?

EvilHomer - 2015-02-01

No, crotch-boobs. Like Milky Way.

Caminante Nocturno - 2015-02-01

Oh, I see now.

I like my crotches like I like my chests.

TeenerTot - 2015-02-01

Here in Missouri, we have the worst of the worst of puppy mills. So I get how some folks are sensitive.

No point to my comment.

oddeye - 2015-02-01

Fuck GoDADDY and fuck puppymills and fuck this stupid shit.

Cena_mark - 2015-02-01

They just need to go back to using former WWE Women's Champion Candice Michelle.

magnesium - 2015-02-01

You know, if your web hosting service can afford to make Super Bowl commercials every year, you are charging too much for web hosting.

infinite zest - 2015-02-01

I'm surprised they're still around, especially with such a late-90s/early-00s-sounding name. And while "hey baby what's your domain registrar" isn't usually my first pick-up line, I don't know anyone who uses it, and that included people who regularly post such exciting things on facebook as their car insurance and banks.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2015-02-02

I see their name on a lot of site domains that go up for sale. Maybe that's where they make their cash, by selling off "popular" domains that are now abandoned?

I mean, take it with a grain of digital salt, but according to URLRate.com, POETv.com is worth 3,000.00, so maybe abandoned URLs have enough value to get you a super-bowl ad, and the real gravy comes when the webmasters get tired of posting cat pix and let their sites die?

infinite zest - 2015-02-02

Woah! That's even more than I sold mine for.
