I knew this was your submission when I saw it in the hopper Orcs. How's the street life and heroin workin out?

lotsmoreorcs - 2015-03-07

lotsmoreorcs - 2015-03-07

also its true, in dubai you really do bet on camels

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-03-07

That place is a weird fucked up fantasy world in the middle of the desert built on slave labor! I had fun there too.

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-03-04

They're the voice of your generation.

Accidie - 2015-03-04

I'm angry about this.

Scrimmjob - 2015-03-04

Fuck, Nuke this shit from orbit! IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO BE SURE!!!

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2015-03-04

I think maybe the washboard guy's last gig was with an organ grinder.

I dunno, back in the seventies, I thought reggae was horrible. Turns out it wasn't. I don't see why I should go on record, declare this band horrible, and risk messing up my track record by possibly being right.

Cena_mark - 2015-03-04

I love the washboarder's intensity. I don't play washboard anywhere near as intensely.
I've never hated Reggae and will find it nice to listen to if I happen to be somewhere it was playing, but I've never actively sought out reggae to listen to on my own time.

infinite zest - 2015-03-04

I mentioned it below but my ex wife had one of their albums, but I think this is their newer stuff. To me, it kinda sounded like Gogol Bordello, just sort of kitchen sink of styles. But then again, why not just listen to Gogol Bordello? I hate to speak ill of the dead, but these guys are like Sublime is to Reggae. Just listen to Toots and the Maytals, you know?

yogarfield - 2015-03-04

The human cheese grinder. My sides, my sides, dey hoit.

mon666ster - 2015-03-04

So "country" and "psychobilly" are hipster now? Lame. I don't like the Gallows, but I've got friends who are part of that whole scene. I had no idea they were all hipsters. I'll be sure to let them know.

poopy - 2015-03-04

You called it, orcs!

infinite zest - 2015-03-04

Once in a while they still pop up on my Andrew Jackson Jihad Pandora station, even though I keep thumbs downing it. My ex wife liked these guys, and the Old 97s, but that was around 2009. So I hate it even more! Yay for passive aggressive hipster aggression! :)

EvilHomer - 2015-03-05

Only two people like psychobilly: my sixty year-old dad, and hipsters.

infinite zest - 2015-03-05

The last show I went to that I'd file under "psychobilly" was Kid Congo Powers, mostly because of the association with The Cramps and the Gun Club. And boy did I feel out of place. The entire place was black leather and spikes and I was wearing my white fake fur hoodie and bandanas, they had slicked back hair and my hair was a mess.. they were nice but I definitely didn't fit in with that scene and nobody wanted anything to do with me. So really, that's more "scenester" than hipster. Hipsters would say that psychobilly's not hipster and the psychobilly crowd would say they're not hipsters like me, making them hipsters too I guess.. the cycle continues..

EvilHomer - 2015-03-05

Everyone who says they're not a hipster, is a hipster. The louder they protest, the more hipster they are.

These oogles are the new Arcade Fire, the only question now is how long before their Arcade Fire 2004 turns into Arcade Fire 2011.

infinite zest - 2015-03-05

Funny you should say that, I usually have "Sprawl Pt. 2" on my little mix. I think it's their best song, or at least a really fun song to ride my bike to. Reflector's pretty solid too IMO. Wasn't a big fan of Funeral.

lotsmoreorcs - 2015-03-07

psychobilly is absolute shit i am a hardcore/punk kid from day 1 and psychobilly has always been fucking horrible

fluffy - 2015-03-04

There is absolutely nothing steampunk about this.

That doesn't make them any good of course. I imagine I'd like a studio recording of this but as a live show they're not very enjoyable to me.

Potrod - 2015-03-04

Can we all stop for a second and make fun of fluffy for misreading the title?

fluffy - 2015-03-05

Oh.

infinite zest - 2015-03-05

Most street musicians I see busking actually do dress in sort of a steampunk style..

lotsmoreorcs - 2015-03-07

for fluffy

ashtar. - 2015-03-07

I will call my steampunk band "Goggles Bordello"

The Mothership - 2016-05-11

***** for everything right here.

Maggot Brain - 2015-03-04

I think I got it "truly bad music is made by people with talent and aptitude that should know better but don't have a clue." "Gypsy-jazz-punk" isn't inherently horrible but these guys should know better than to have that second singer and the lead singer needs to stop fuckin' air drumming and drop 15lbs.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2015-03-04

To me, they sound like two bands sharing the stage, playing two different songs simultaneously.

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-03-04

Haha that's a perfect way of saying it.

infinite zest - 2015-03-05

There's this bar I like to go to that has an open kitchen and a jukebox. The pinball machines are basically in the confluence between where you can hear the kitchen's death metal (it's always loud death metal) and usually some brodude's Dave Matthews Band song pick. That's kind of what this reminds me of.

Chancho - 2015-03-04

So edgy
